I've been going back to the 20x200 site regularly over the past few months, they have some really great affordable art. Unfortunately the third pic here has sold out, otherwise it would be a hanging on my wall : )
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.

Some pictures I took at a friend’s place last night with proper lighting! We have been talking about food photography for ages and then the opportunity came up when he was asked to take some pictures for another friends berry farm. I learnt a lot.... basically it’s kinda hard, it needs a lot of thought and preparation before hand, and I need a much better camera! It was a lot of fun though even if it was probably one of the hottest nights to be doing something like this.

Ahh another monday done and dusted, is it bad to say I am counting them down till christmas? I need the break more than anything, and I don't think the next few weeks are going to slow down!
So I starting doing some searches for places to visit on my trip next year (I know it's still a loooong way off!), which led me to the Tate online store and these prints by Natsko Seki. They are so great, I had to share.

perhaps oddly quite a few tea towels....I love the designs on all of these, I guess I'm thinking more for hanging on the fridge than for everyday use.
By the way did you see Donna Hay now has a webstore...bad...but good : )

On my table:
*All the Christmas magazines arrived at once, I’m not quite in Christmas mode yet but I suspect the time is going to fly by. The Jamie mag has some great recipes too, a warm cauliflower and green olive salad that is definitely on the menu this week.
* Mini lemon cakes, they were an experiment and they sort of worked, well they tasted pretty good.

It seems everyone was going through a similar thing yesterday too, it’s nice that we can all be cranky together! Today was a much better day thankfully, I remembered Remembrance day and wore my poppy, and the new Cath Kidston catalogue arrived which always sends my head into a bit of a happy spin.
It included an article/interview about yarn storming (or yarn bombing), I’m so intrigued by this and really love it. It’s such a great non-destructive way of making public statements and brightening spaces.
I nearly even contemplated some myself a few months ago, there are some trees in my parents street that were mysteriously hacked of all limbs (ok, not so mysteriously we all know it was the loony whose house they are in front of), they looked so sad and I think they could do with some bright woollen clothes. Luckily the trees have fought back and are sprouting new leaves so I don't need to go to their rescue.
1, 2, 3, and 4 (which is in my home state!)

Thank goodness it's nearly the end of wednesday, this week already feels like it's been a million years long. I have to say there's not a great deal happening either... besides working, going to an overcrowded and overheated gym and being miserly (boring!) with money, none of which classifies as fun or inspiring. I guess I'm a bit cranky, I know there are lots of things to do that you don't need money for and exercising can be enjoyable too...but hey bring on the weekend!

I've had stylo in my head since watching jools holland on friday...(not bad at all and the boys from the clash are in the band!) and it's been the song for the weekend. The sun came out, I watched some cricket at the pub and had a barbeque dinner, it's starting to feel like that summery time that happens at the end of the year and I love that.

The last few days have been depressingly grey and increasingly colder, where is the sunshine! Work has been a little blah and slow and I need some inspiration, I've been thinking more about knitting socks and found this beautiful yarn on etsy. Love the names Playing with Matches, Oy the Koi and I'm so Ready for Autumn - ok well that name isn't so great, I'm ready for summer!

I realise I don't often post recipes here, I think it's because I'm terrible at following them myself and often don't measure ingredients... not so good. But I have to share this recipe for blueberry and banana muffins because I've already made them twice in the last week and they are good, really good.
blueberry and banana muffins
2 1/3 cups wholemeal spelt flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
2 large banana's mashed
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup agave syrup
1/2 cup blueberries
Heat the oven to 180 celcius, combine wet ingredients and sift dry ingredients over the top and mix until combined. Cook for around 20mins.
