Soft and Pale

Liking the soft and pale things around this weekend, that three headed tulip is impressive and I had the most exciting mail day this week (a hint in the top picture) but I'm saving that one for a little while yet.

The Agrarian Kitchen

On monday (which now feels like a lifetime ago) I was lucky enough to have the day off and attend a class with friends at the Agrarian Kitchen. We booked almost six months ago but it was definitely worth the wait, we did the agrarian experience class and I would highly recommend it. Seriously nothing better than spending a monday walking around a veggie garden, milking a goat and then cooking up beautiful food in an amazing kitchen. I went a bit crazy taking pictures but nevermind (!), like I say if you get the chance definitely book in a class.

Road Trip...

to Bicheno on the east cost, despite the long drive and crazy grey weather it was worth it, loved that teepee on the beach.

Sun Dried

On the long weekend I needed to use up the last of my home grown tomatoes before they over ripened so I decided to make some semi sun dried, or more accurately oven dried. They were seriously simple to do and smelt amazing while in the oven, now I’m thinking of recipe ideas to use them, has any one made pesto with them? Any other ideas? I’ve not really eaten them before.

etsy store re-open

I re-opened my little etsy store with some felt garlands, note books and a few left over printed shoppers. I am so drawn to the colours in the garlands at the moment, I hope you like them too.

lately:

1. a salted caramel tart from sweet envy, man it was good but seriously rich...I had to eat it in two parts.
2. autumn leaves, trees are turning all over the place.
3. new scarf I picked up in trenery in melbourne on friday when I had a quick squiz around after a meeting, if only I'd know my flight would be so seriously delayed I could have made it out to Seddonia
4. a little something I'm working on...more to come tomorrow

Lisa Stickley Store

Did you catch the pictures of the Lisa Stickley store on Decor8? .....hmmm definitely putting that on my London list! I particularly like her black and white round collar design.

braided hex nut bracelet

I feel like I've only been posting about food lately and it's boring me so it must be boring everyone else too! I am still in deep saving mode and basically food has been my only luxury for soooo long, I just haven't been anywhere or bought anything, dull dull. But I stumbled across this rather cool diy bracelet that definitely wouldn't break a non-existent budget. I've always loved the mimco bracelets and necklaces and this reminds me of one of those.

Pea Soup

ahh where do the weekends go?
It seems to me that you just get into the swing of them and then they are over.
Anyway I made my pea soup and it was really good, perfect for the warm sunny autumn day we had with sun dried sheets and windows and doors wide open.

Sadly my nice weck jar of split peas fell on the floor and smashed into a million pieces, peas and glass everywhere.....

Cold!

I would say there is only one word to describe this week - completely bloody freezing! Ok that's three but it's true and it's awful. The reason I haven't blogged is because I'd rather sit in bed with the electric blanket on than sit at my desk, slack I know. Luckily my sitting in bed has involved reading (yes actually reading - not just looking at pictures!) Anthology magazine, which is perfect it's so nice to find a magazine with some substance and my copy of the 3191Q which has a split pea soup recipe I'm definitely going to make this weekend. I also watched Sunshine Cleaning which I rather enjoyed, has anyone got any good film selections? I think I might be needing them!
