Wanted to share some pics of the rather cool minnie mouse/serpent tent at the mona market by artist Daphne Park, I love its pinkness!
Also rather exciting day today, managed to score tickets to radiohead in november, I am sooooo excited, now just have to wait 8 months....!

I went to Salamanca market for the first time in absolutely ages yesterday, mostly I was after some tulips but they didn't have any so I got snap dragons instead. I would have loved the poppies but they just make me a bit hayfeverish.
The exciting find was zucchini flowers! I had some in Melbourne many years ago and they were fantastic and I have wanted to re-create that ever since. I did get some flowers from a friend last weekend but was lazy and left them out and they went all limp. So tonight I cooked them properly, stuffed with goats cheese, ricotta, basil and fresh grated nutmeg and a light tempura batter, and I was pleased with the way they turned out, nearly the same as my memory.

I did not mean to take a break, in fact this year I had plans to be a much better blogger! I haven't taken many photographs at all lately and that always holds me back from writing posts, plus I think I hit a bit of a wall earlier this week..... I might need a holiday! But I have one in a few weeks that I am so looking forward too, involves seeing Bon Iver live...woo!
Photographs are from a few weeks ago around my house.

Right now I am on a rather boringly tight budget, which has curbed my spending well and truly (not a bad thing at all to be completely honest), but there are a few things in today’s pins that I do rather like from Anthropologie….not that I will be spending a penny!
flowers, measuring cups, plate, bedroom.

hmmm somehow it is the 6th of February already! This year is going rather fast so far….
*my copy of the second Kinfolk magazine arrived and it is seriously so wonderful, amazing photographs!
*it was a weekend of home grown goods – I was lucky enough to be given all these things – fresh basil, newly ripened tomatoes, pom pom dahlia’s, nashi pears and zucchini. Summer is good like that.
*I made truck drivers pasta with the basil and tomatoes for Island Menu…it should be up in a day or so.
