Summer Holidays

Summer holidays are good for:
:: reading lots of books
:: seeing Fantastic Mr Fox (brilliant!)
:: sitting in the wonderful sunshine
:: ice creams
:: sewing new couch covers
:: roasting tomatoes
....and I started a tumblr, so if I'm not here I do plan to post an inspirational picture there every day for the coming year.

I hope everyone had a wonderful new years!

Love these pictures and oh oh...am just a bit jealous!! It is so cold here and the snow has turned to frozen slush...I would like it go away now please!! As I type the sun is coming out so hopefully there will be a bit of a thaw!

Only last night I was asking my husband about Tumblr..will have to investigate some more!

Also, I see from another post that you got the "Hang it All" Catherine!! The Conran Shop opened in Dublin recently and I was in there yesterday weighing up whether to buy one (you know I have wanted it for my hall for a long time!!) ...I didn't...maybe after first payday in new job!! Have a lovely day in the sunshine :)

New couch covers - I look forward to seeing the results. I'm not familiar with Tumblr so must go check it out.
The antique fair was quite good - of course I saw a lot I liked but little I could afford! I will post it soon but bought some old postcards and an old chamber pot. Cheers :)

Unfortunately here in Wisconsin it looks nothing like that last picture. That makes me want summer to come even faster...that's for featuring that tasty treat (I've always been a sucker for anything in a waffle cone)!

Happy New Year! Hope you're enjoying your holidays.

Ha, that's so funny I was looking at that issue of Real Living and contemplating scanning that exact image of the home featured on your tumblr. I love it!

Hehe Summer Vacation. This is the first time I've visited your blog and coming from Canada I thought it hadn't been updated in months. But you're in Australia. It all makes sense! Lovely totes on etsy by the way!

Happy New Year Catherine! Like Martina, I am swooning over your photos of green grass and ice cream. It's hard to remember what summer looks like! The UK is in the grip of Winter and we have so much snow, (I measured 18 inches in my back garden this morning!) and there seems no end in sight at the moment. Oh to feel some sunshine and to walk barefoot on the grass... :)
