Things have been pretty quiet around here, but:
I did preserve some lemons, I can't wait to see how they turn out and try them in some dishes;
I've been playing sticks with Angus in the sunshine; and
enjoying the wonderfulness that is Orla and her patterns.
What have you been up to lately, I'd love to hear : )

I finally made some blood orange marmalade on the weekend and today we brought home two hens for our backyard. They should be laying in a couple of months. They are called LaLa and TicTac.
gorgeous photos.. the first one looks like something out of a cookbook. love the little timber bowl the lemons are in too.
I've always wondered about preserving lemons... is this difficult to do? I see you've got the book that Mertina got... so lovely to get nice mail!!
Hey Catherine...you know what..your photos are just fantastic - especially all your food/table shots! You could do this professionally :) We arrived back from Connemara on Friday as we were going to the Leinster v Munster rugby match in our new Aviva Stadium...seriously good fun and fab atmosphere! And we won! Hope you have a lovely week. Mx
PS..what does one do with preserved lemons...duh..but I don't know!
Love those lemons!
Gorgeous photos Catherine - you should work for a magazine :) Do you have to manipulate tham much on the computer or does your camera just take them looking that good?
I bet your Orla book is beautiful!
so pretty!
i made the last batch of plum marmalade and played around with little laughing dog - but you probably know that already...
Aww, I love Russian Blue cats!
That first image looks like something straight out aof a Donna Hay book - beautiful photo. Angus has the loveliest softest looking coat ever! How nice to have that new book to browse through.
Curious what you think of the Orla Kiely book?
I'm considering buying it off amazon.com.
