So after going on and on about it for goodness knows how long, here it finally is! A shot of my new sofa. We are starting to get along a bit better now after the initial shock of 'my goodness it's a french behemoth'. Sure it isn't the sleek stylish scandinavian piece I had in mind but I suspect in summer when the sun streams through that window it will be a prime spot for reading. Perhaps it just needs a few more cheerful cushions....I'm still not 100%...!
By the way please excuse the so so shots, it seems to be quite difficult to photograph. Oh yeah and my beat up architraves!

LOVE it Catherine! Looks really comfy too :) Martina x
I really like it Catherine! Sometimes the things that take us a while to love turn out to be the best :)

I love it Catherine! Yes maybe a bright cushion would be just the thing.
As for your beat up architraves, mind are exactly the same. It really amuses me that our skirting boards are the same profile ;)
Have a cosy week!
It look so comfortable and generous. I love the colour, but wouldn't be brave enough with our two furry fiends!
It does look seriously comfortable! I also love that you've put a stripe cushion on it. Thanks for sharing with us, we've definitely all been on this journey a little with you. Thank you so much for the birthday wishes and the update on your pot plants. Oops reminds me I must go water mine now! xx
It's absolutely gorgeous Catherine! I love it.
I have serious sofa envy at the moment. I'm dying for a beat up brown leather one, Olde English style. Stuck with the modular for now though. (First world problem).
It looks very comfy! I think you've chosen well and it will be the perfect spot to curl up :)
Looks so comfortable and lovely in your house. Have fun lying on your sofa with a nice cup of tea and a good book :)
Niiiiice! Love the colour - please can you rewind and give us the details again? I am looking for a big-ish comfy sofa in just that colour, long enought o stretch out and sleep on!
haha - i love it how people end up knowing our internal monologues about things such as COUCHES! you definitely need some old crochet granny square cushions, lots of colour and graphic patterns would be go i reckon! maybe some bigger prints to get the scale a bit more balanced? but i have to say. it looks SUPREMELY comfy :)
Looks like the sort of super cushy sofa that you sink into, really love the colour.
Thumbs up!
Love it. Is that the Somerfield??
yep, quite a comfy piece... Nice! It looks a bit squished up to the wall there though... maybe it needs a bit more room? Would it work on an angle in the corner? With a big pot plant or a huge lamp behind it? I can't help the interior designer in me... sorry if I've offended!
