chocolate cupcakes

A friend asked if I would mind making some cakes or cupcakes for a fair she was involved in, all for a good cause (social justice no less) so of course I said yes.... then had a mild panic attack at the supermarket on friday night after work not knowing what would be best to make. Brought some dark chocolate and sprinkles with the thought in mind that everyone likes chocolate, and then wonderfully found that my copy of the new Primrose Bakery book had arrived in the mail! I used their recipe and they turned out beautifully (yes I had a wee taste test). I would highly recommend the book, next on my list is the croissants, of course I'd really just rather go back to the store...yep.

oh and if you are interested the tea towel is by lisa rupp via etsy, I have both designs and they are beautiful!

also strawberry flan over on Island Menu

Oooo I haven't seen their new book yet, I have their first one, and it just looks so nice, I read it just for the photos. I should try a few of their recipes, because the ones we have tried we've loved.
Thanks for your comment on my post the other day, I was just feeling sorry for myself, and you hit the nail on the head, I just want to be at the hut! It hasn't gotten any worse, fingers crossed, and our friend will fix it up for us when the soil dries out.
