Interior Love: Random

So a rather random collection of interior shots that I love right now: that pink couch is sublime, I would love a black and white zig zag rug, the Jardan dining chairs are awesome and that blanket in the last shot..!

Other random thoughts this friday:
* Has any one ever made salted caramels before? Are they tricky? I think they could be a good christmas sweet for giving.
* The new Gourmet Traveller is a good read, nice articles about Reykjavik and Portland (Oregon).
* I need to start my christmas shopping but keep getting way laid by seeing things I myself like, oh yes and really don't need!
* I got my first lot of cherries for the season!

Hello! I've made those salted caramels before - you definitely need a candy thermometer and then you actually need to watch it while cooking :) http://thedesignfiles.net/2011/04/cooking-from-the-heart-with-siohban-curran-buttery/

I'm wondering about the salted caramels myself! I hear there's an art to doing it without a candy thermometer-- you just have to watch the color and consistency really carefully.
Love those interiors too. You've got great taste.

Those interiors are sublime! You always find the most beautiful inspiration.

I've made them. But, um, yeah. I was definitely not as careful as I should have been. At least the pan was tasty. Oh yes. I licked it.

Love the pink couch in the first shot :) Oh you sound so much like me- my christmas shopping ratio is usually 10% gifts for other people and 90% random things I've spotted along the way and bought for myself! It's shameful.

I'm visiting Tassie in January and cant wait to go cherry picking. I had the yummiest cherries when I was down there last christmas holidays. Where would you recommend going?

I love the interior photos! There's just something about neutral tones paired with big pops of colour that really makes a room stand out.

P.S. Ahhh, the dreaded task of Christmas shopping. I am the same way!
