Great British Food

I have been very taken with the Great British Food cook book ever since it arrived in my letterbox. It’s from the Canteen restaurants, and they look very cool, definitely on the to-visit list when (if!) I get to London. Anyway the book has wonderful simple everyday dishes and some great photography. I made the beef stew on the weekend with chedder and parsley dumplings and some eton mess (for desert), both got the big thumbs up.

I just adore dumplings and my mother-in-law makes the best roast dinners I have ever had in my life! My nieces and nephews beg her to invite us all over for Sunday lunch and far too often we get them to ask for us too!

I love British food and find it super comforting.

Who knew potatoes could look so good. That aqua background is gorgeous.

Love the photography - great food styling when it comes to cookbooks is often what draws me to them - this is why I love Donna Hay so much :) Have fun cooking!
