Gorman

The weather has been typically Tasmanian over the past few days, Sunday so hot and still my house was most unbearable (so much so a bottle of beer I had out of the fridge exploded!) and then yesterday a 360 change to the point where I may have needed the electric blanket on low last night…. madness! Anyway I don’t mind because I can now justifiably (well for today!) admire the new Gorman collection….and I love it! So many great colours and patterns.

I also can't stop thinking about the Jodhpur boots by Swedish Hasbeens, and these Marc Jacobs sunglasses- love the colour of the arms.

Gold

I'm not a big jewellery person but every now and again find pieces I really like, such as the little frame necklaces from Wsake and the bangle (bracelet?) from Odette via Wiksten. Love love.

Also gold is Mark Ronson and the Business Intl doing somebody to love you on triple j presents (at the enmore - love that venue) that's now up on iview - forgot how much I love that song and yet another gig I wish I'd been to but didn't get to, damn living in Hobart can have some drawbacks : ) But really only a few.

Shoes

Today wasn’t so great, at lunch I tripped crossing the road and while fortunately I didn’t fall over and face-plant it in front of the waiting traffic, I did rip a hole in the toe of my sambag woven flats. I’m not happy, I liked those shoes a lot and I don’t think they can be fixed. So I’ve been studying their website looking for replacements, above are my faves. Which ones do you like best? Marimekko

I love these new marimekko purses and bag. They are so cute, perfect if it is nearing summer in your hemisphere! Sadly here it is not and I'm coverting check shirts, mittens and jackets, but I am still appreciating the colourful delights above.

Because you so kindly asked, and I love your comments, the shoes in my previous post are vintage Thom AcAm's I bought on etsy. And while we are on shoes what do you think of the beauties above? I think they are on my list.

Hello March! I'm not sure if this means it is now officially autumn or not, but I am definitely starting to think about cooler weather, cosy slippers, and soup! I think this is a bit reflective of my need to have a bit of hibernation time, to think about life right now and what it means. But on the lighter side I really love a few of the new items from French Connection, these blouses are so sweet hmm mr postman might be having to stop by my house soon.

I've been looking for some new sun glasses and love the photographs from Karen Walker's Masters of Disguise collection, the beards, moustaches and wigs are genius.

Lover

Lover, their name says it all, these dresses, oh and those shoes. This program about the label is so inspiring. I am in love for several reasons myself, tomorrow is the friday before a long weekend, yay! I have only a few plans and I like that fact very much.

Desperately Searching

I have spent the past two days searching for a very simple pair of navy blue low top chucks, easy, simple, straight forward....or so you would think! But it seems to be impossible, I can get them in green, bright pink (been there before!), and even navy hightops but it's not quite what I am after. Oh well the search continues for another day : )

Interior Love

This weeks interior love is actually interior book love. I saw this book the other day and spent ages flipping through, each designers home is so uniquely theirs and of course they are all fabulous in their own way! I wish I could show you some pictures of my particular favourites, Vanessa Bruno's house and Diane von Furstenberg's library has made me very envious! So if you see the book around take a peak.

Welcome April, Hello Autumn

April is a good month, I like April. It's my birthday month and what's not to like about a birthday. Autumn seems to have arrived also this week, I am not so ready for this yet. Instead of our usual sunny, calm season it's rainy, windy and kinda miserable, not to mention the fact that it is dark when I wake up reminding me of getting ready for early morning flights, except there is no flight to be excited about! So in preparation for the new season I have picked out some must haves.
