Quantity not Quality!

I haven't completely given up on the idea of knitting a crochet blanket this year, however I think it is going to take a great deal longer than I expected! It has taken me quite some time to master the stitches and while I have learnt what exactly I am supposed to be doing, the idea now is to get the tension right. These few pieces are just a fraction of my attempts and I have re-tried each many times, it is certainly not coming easily to me. But I am loving the challenge.

These look great! You have come a lot further than me. I just have a hook and don't know anything more about crochet!
Keep it up :)

please don't stop! i haven't even started mine yet and i'm using you as inspiration! i have no idea and have very little crochet experience (2 months of pathetic-effort whilst i was in canada last year)but maybe blocking them will make them look better in terms of their tension/structure? otherwise, the colours are absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! keep it up lady!

Oh, you are offering such inspiration. I used to crochet a lot, but it's my husband that's the master. He once made me a hat out of granny squares like the ones you have here. I think I should go find it....
