...and it rained all night and then all day.

Thanks Thom for your lyric, I've had this song stuck in my head (not a bad thing because I love it) and yeah it's been raining - a lot. I love it when it's like this, it always reminds me of other rainy days, being at school and having to stay in the classroom at lunch rather than out in the yard, or being at uni and deciding to play truant (because maybe it is just a little too wet to walk and perhaps i would rather watch some bad day-time tv than go to a lecture on contracts, or trusts or some such thing). At work it's a little different now, being high up in a building and watching the weather pass by the windows, seeing the mountain hidden behind cloud and quite probably snow. Rainy days are quiet, soft and they have their own beat.

Very nicely written. I too love a rainy day - in moderation of course!

I love this. Rainy days always make me a little nostalgic too.

Yes there is something cleansing and soothing about rain. I was reading a bit about raindrops recently; apparently they are round when they fall through the air not tear shaped as we all imagine!

Growing up in Seattle has made me love rainy days, and especially thunder storms. The world moves a little slower on a grey day. Beautiful photo.
