Genius

Every morning I walk to work, that short 25 minutes of my day is something I don’t think I could do without. It’s my time to wake up, listen to music and enjoy being out in the fresh air, to ready myself before a day at my desk (thrilling I know!). The last week or so this has been even more enjoyable, someone in my street has planted sunflowers all the way up the nature strip. It’s a wonderful sight, some are in flower some are still tightly closed, they are all in rows and they make me smile. Whoever planted them must be a genius!

Lovely! Maybe we should all sprinkle seeds in those little strips.

Cool. I think there are few flowers as amazing as sunflowers. I have a list of things that I'd like to do with Eleanor in her childhood and growing sunflowers, including peeking over our fence back home is one of them :) Enjoy your walk. Sounds like a great way to start your everyday. xx

what a wonderful routine! with more daylight now, i hope to start biking to work more often. the fresh air and exercise feel so great before a day at the desk.

also, check out this great guerilla gardening book. i want to buy a copy myself!

Beautiful! I love sunflowers and they look so lovely when there are a lot of them together. It really does make you smile to come across something like this - sounds like a lovely walk. :)
