Incentivised Savings

I had a good mail day last week, some pretty cath kidston fabric off ebay, which I plan to use for cushions, as well as the Autumn Cath Kidston catalogue.
As you can see I ‘heart’ quite a few things! So I made a deal, it’s called incentivised savings: I scrupulously save for the month of September and once my goal is reached only then I can put an order in. I think it might work such is the lure of all those pretty things! In the meantime I need to learn how to put in zips for my cushions…

Cool idea Catherine, I love your savings plan! As for zips, trust me, I had major zip fear for a long time but it was so much easier than you expect. I'll see if I can dig out the link I used, it's somewhere on my blog. Course you could always use a cute button fastening! :)

Oh those heart tabs are sweet!
I've been avoiding zips in sewing my bags and cushions. For me, i think it's the unpicking that's daunting the bit because i'm bound to stuff it up several times before i ever get it right.
Can't wait to see your cushions when they're finish - maybe on your lovely white couch?

Your savings plan sounds great :)
Zippers...i struggled with that for so long and then took a class and now I practically do it with my eyes shut. I wish we were closer and I could show you how.

Good idea. If I had that catalogue it would be jam-packed with hearts as well :)
How is shipping to Aus?
I am happy to show you how to put zippers in. Once I even managed to get pipping AND a zipper in neatly!!

Ooo, your savings plan is quite courageous! I'd be sure to fail within a week. It seems like a fair trade though, since in the end you'll treat yourself to some lovely Cath goodies!

Hope your saving goes well! :)
