I Love Macarons

I've had my eye on this book since before christmas, and today I finally took one home. The instructions are step by step and detailed so maybe my second attempt will be better than my first, either way it is a beautiful book to look through.

Hi Catherine, I saw some macaroons being made on My Kitchen Rules last week I think and it looked very difficult. I look forward to seeing your results.
Have a great week!

I've tried to make macarons one bajillion times. I love them so much, but fail at making them. They always come out too flat!

Good luck!

They're something I've wanted to try, but I'm not sure I have the patience or technique! Looking forward to seeing your next attempt.

Perhaps Green tea flavour?? ;)

Hello Catherine, just looking at your first attempt which look pretty impressive to me! I think I've read that Macarons are pretty difficult to make so I'm looking forward to your results. I've looked at recipes before but they look quite fiddly with quite a high percentage of turning out a disaster so i'm sending you some kitchen vibes!! :)

They are so pretty in all those different shades. Can't wait for you to try them out. I was only reading in an interview with Donna Hay a few weeks ago that she thought macarons were one of the 'it' foods for 2010 :)
