Today was my nanna's birthday so I made a very chocolate-y chocolate cake. I've been so inspired by
Nikole's cakes, when I was thinking of how I might decorate it, the little ribbon flags came to mind. Mine are clumsy and not nearly as beautiful, but it was a lot of fun!
Oh and I took the top photograph at 8am this morning, I am so impressed to have light like this in autumn!

I think the flags are absolutely perfect. I'll try this out when my daughters birthday is coming up this summer. I love DIY and to keep plastic decorations off the cakes.
