Catching Up

Wow, sorry for my absence from this space, it feels like ages since I posted something. Last week I was feeling a bit under the weather (sinus and allergy stuff) but I’m feeling a bit better now and finally got some news that I’ve been waiting to hear, my job has been made permanent!

I’ve been in such a constant state of worry for the past year about end of contracts and possible early finish dates that I didn’t think it would actually happen. But it has and now I can make plans and take holidays, I’m quite excited.

So my weekend was good one, a bottle of verve clicquot to celebrate, and then mother’s day lunch yesterday!
I hope you had a good one too.

That lunch looks delicious. We had a quiet Mothers' Day this year with just phone-calls home to celebrate the day. I'm a wee-bit envious of your table.

Congratulations Catherine on being made permanent - must be such a relief and now you can plan that holiday of yours!! Yay! Your Mother's Day lunch looks lovely - you decorated the table so prettily and those tarts (are they topped with meringue?) look delicious. Your Mum must have love it all. Thanks for the sweet comments you left on my blog too. Hope you have a better week with your allergies xx

Good news indeed, Catherine.

And that lunch table looks like a very nice place to have spent an afternoon.
