This weekend

This weekend:
*I've been listening to The XX, so great.
*Sewing some coasters from my Japanese check linen and eating humbugs my nanna bought me from Soverign Hill
*Cooking birthday cakes and prawn and pork wontons (neil perry style, seriously good!)
*Loving the winter hellebores on my table (even though they have dropped bits everywhere!)

...and finally I am on holidays this week, my first since christmas, so expect to see a few more posts this week.

I hope everyone had a lovely weekend too!

The hellebores are gorgeous - I have them in flower at work and keep forgetting to pick some for home :)
How nice to have a week off. I'm the same, nothing since Christmas but am planning a week off at the end of August. Have a lovely time!

ps, yes, the little bottle was discovered at the pigeon hole. What a nice cafe!

You're photos are always so professionally styled and shot Catherine - you are such a talented photographer. I think that first one is one of my favourites of yours. Gorgeous flowers and your cooking looks wonderful. Glad you've had a nice weekend xx

Those wontons look sort of like they're made of fabric!

I've been meaning to try and make apricot or plum or some fruit dumplings...hm.

Hi there! I stumbled onto your blog tonight...not even sure how I found it, but I really like it! I feel like we have a lot in common despite the fact that we live on opposite sides of the world. I have always wanted to go to Australia...it's just so cool to me that you live there. I love to craft/scrapbook/knit/crochet/sew/bake and photography, and it seems you do to. I also love to garden, and I have hellibores in my backyard. They don't bloom in the winter here though :) early spring. Anyways, thanks for entertaining me. Love the posts.
