Mirror, Mirror

I have been in serious saving mode the last few months desperately trying to stick to a tight budget (more on that another time) and even going for long walks at lunch to avoid spending it looking at shops in town. It has worked too, until I went into a little antique store that I was positive would have nothing of interest to me….yeah I was wrong.

I spied a mirror, I spent days thinking about the mirror, the price was good considering the size (it’s quite enormous), had a second look and then went back a third time to buy it. Actually I am so pleased I did, I love it, it’s simple but quite lovely and changes the space in my living room nicely. One of those forever pieces.

It's a lovely shape. A great spot for your mirror, it was meant to be yours.

It looks great and was obviously meant to be. I'm trying to buy very little as well - it does help if you avoid shops. I don't tend to have a lunch break and there's not too much at Eastlands to entice me too much. But then there's online shopping...
ps the masonic market is o this sunday but unfortunately I have to work all day. Sigh..

The mirror is perfect for your space. It is good that it was still at the shop. On numerous occasions I thought about something too long, and it was sold.

I've been really good lately too. But sometimes it's absolutely worth a treat (what's the point in being so disciplined otherwise!?) And this is the perfect choice. Meant to be!

Cool, does the top remind you of a moustache? I reckon you can feel good about the purchase, anything that is not an impulse buy, but was thought about and deliberated over is a great example of self restraint

Beautiful elegant shape, definitely a classic forever piece. Often when I deliberate longer i enjoy them more than the impulsive buys.

A forever piece definitely! It's gorgeous :) We only have mirrors in the boring places, in the bathroom over the sink and next to the wardrobes for getting dressed but I'd love to use mirrors more as a decoration too - well only if I found something equally lovely as this! :)

Love it!!! What a brilliant find. I procrastinate for ages over whether or not buy things I've spied for our place. So glad you decided to go back and snap this one up.
