Happy Friday

So glad it's almost the weekend, my head feels like a lead weight and I'm looking forward to some quality nap time, but also hopefully some time in the sunshine. I need a new book to read, any suggestions? I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I'm reading 'To Kill a Mockingbird' for the first time.... very good so far :-)

It's going to be a good weekend for napping... it's just about to turn cold again according to the ABC weather guy!

I suggest "The Help" by Kathryn Stockett

Have you read A Time Traveller's Wife? Brilliant book, so so so much better than the movie.
Have a lovely, relaxing weekend x

I've just been recommended 'one day' by David Nicholls - I'll be reading it on the plane to Australia tomorrow!

I missed this on Friday... The Housekeeper and the Professor by Yoko Ogawa was a good read

I second A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg I loved this book... I've had so little time for reading recently that I haven't read anything for a little while...

I recently finished The Heretic's Daughter by Kathleen Kent (about the witch trials, based on true events) and thought it was really good.

Love that garland and all of those colors.

Hi Catherine! Your garlands are so pretty..I bought a stack of felt over a year ago and have still done nothing with it..sigh. Ref books..I am just about finished The Slap by your fellow-countryman..Chris Tsoliakis..I have to admit, I kind of hate it but have to finish it. However, I would recommend anything by Kate Atkinson :)

Or, if you haven't read Kazuo Ishiguro...all good - I really liked When we were Orphans...so moving.

Perhaps you've already read it but Dave Eggers' A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius is really good. Anything, but especially Pygmalion, by George Bernard Shaw is wonderful too.
