This time of year

I like this time of year so much, when there is time to go to the pub for several hours after work, it's still light and warm and you can walk to the post office to collect the last little bit of an anthropologie order, cook scrambled eggs at home and search for a cd you cannot find - but them stumble across another you have been looking for for years (Junior Kimborough- check out Meet Me In the City)! For some reason the light and little bit of warmer air make such a difference and life feels so much better.I needed that.

Pics are kind of unrelated but I did make some strawberry and rhubarb compote for my porridge.

I have a crush on your table and the things you photograph on it!! I know what you mean about this time of year. I love a cooler breeze through the windows, but the warmth in the day that makes you want to get out there. I get so much more sun this time of year on my plants too. So they're happy! x

I've just been ferreting through my music shelves to find some tunes, couldn't find what I wanted but did stumble upon Cordrazine. Beautiful. Like strawberry and rhubarb compote. Beautiful and yum.

P.S. When I met The Sartorialist in Paris I was by no means worthy of his blog!! I'm too boringly practical and especially when I'm travelling when I travel with only carryon size luggage. My boots were fraying the back, the soles wearing through (threw them out before coming home), normal dark jeans and then horror of all horrors - I had a practical wet weather outdoor jacket on! Hair was dirty and in a ponytail and no makeup. Nope. Not a candidate at all. But I could never live in high heels so I'm happy to never be one!

I kmow what you mean, I love getting home in the light and having time to do something outside before nightfall. Thanks for your comment about my Dad, he's pretty funny at times. If you do have a look at Devra, just bear in mind the freight doubles the cost, but I think even with that it works out to be about $2 a decoration. I searched everywhere here and couldn't find them much cheaper than $7 each. Also you have to order them by the dozen (which I didn't mind)!
