End of the Break

I have realised that I am actually quite bad at having holidays at home, it takes me ages to feel relaxed and know what to do....or more to the point how to just settle into doing not very much at all. I don't think I got to this point until saturday, a whole week into the break and now tomorrow is back to work and I feel a bit duped! It has been nice though, mostly hanging around home, cooked a really good paella, actually enjoyed going to the Taste of Tasmania for the fist time in years, had a great new years eve with friends (I made those primrose bakery cupcakes again - definitely the best recipe!) and had a picnic lunch at the beach today, oh and got to put my calendar from Rifle Designs up, I've wanted one of those for ages!

Oh I so know what you mean. I'm on my annual break at the moment and thankfully have a week left, but I most certainly won't be ready when the time comes.
It is difficult relaxing when you've been so busy. I haven't been to the Taste in years but have heard it's pretty good. Maybe next year. Your calendar sounds great, I do like their work. :)

I know just what you mean Catherine, I'm sadly back to work tomorrow as well... at least you have sunshine!

I know exactly what you mean...it really is the same for me when I stay at home on my time off, I am determined to enjoy my last week! Having nice weather there must make all the difference! The cupcakes look divine...I have the Primrose book for a while now and STILL haven't gotten around to baking anything...can't decide which to start with!! Tell me, which ones are these? Maybe they will be my first! Do let me know :)

My friend, you make me stop for so long with your beautiful images. I adore the one of your couch with your bag, shoes and phone. I can visualise you walking in the door and putting them there. Just lovely colours. Thank you for all your blog love last year. I love having you visit and am looking forward to following you through 2012. Before we know it, we'll be planning our 31st birthdays! :) xx

That calendar is so beautiful! nice calendars are rather hard to find these days. Hope you had a great time at the Taste festival- I'm sure those cupcakes would rival some of the food there ;)
