This Weekend...

  • My tomatoes are slowly growing, one of them is now even developing a little blush! If we could only get some sunshine over the next few weeks….
  • Went for a bit of a ride to visit Richmond for lunch, I forgot how touristy it was but it was nice to wander around, and I spied some cornishware blue and white tea towels in a giftware shop that I was sorely tempted by. I did resist however.
  • I had no intention of cooking this weekend but at the last minute threw together some berry frozen yoghurt which tasted so great. Very easy too: I used a 500g tub of Tamar Valley natural yoghurt, a few handfuls of frozen blueberries and raspberries, some fresh strawberries (because I had them) a spring of fresh mint, 4-5 tablespoons of honey (I used the Tasmanian meadow honey) whizzed them all up with the bamix and left it to set in the freezer. Brilliant…try it!

homegrown tomatoes are the best - they taste so great still warm from the sun. some people don´t like the smell of the plants, but i really love it.
i have to try some frozen yoghurt, too...come summer.

I know what you mean about the tomatoes. I have picked 2 little ones but the rest really need some sun! Your frozen yoghurt looks so yummy!Normally I'd have blueberries by now but my tree is in recovery mode from me almost killing it, so no fruit this year.
Have a great week :)

My favourite dessert is frozen berries whizzed up with yoghurt, cream, honey, seeds for crunch, anything suitable from the fridge. The frozen berries make it come out like soft serve. Delish, and sort of good for you.

Your tomatoes are growing wonderfully - mine is looking a bit sad due to our extreme heat. Your yoghurt sounds delicious. Richmond was such a lovely spot we visited when we were in Tasmania, I like the shops there a lot.
