Pea Soup

ahh where do the weekends go?
It seems to me that you just get into the swing of them and then they are over.
Anyway I made my pea soup and it was really good, perfect for the warm sunny autumn day we had with sun dried sheets and windows and doors wide open.

Sadly my nice weck jar of split peas fell on the floor and smashed into a million pieces, peas and glass everywhere.....

I've not heard of weck jars, but that's unfortunatel about yours.
Great images Catherine. The soup sounds lovely but I am unable to cook fresh peas - I have to eat them raw! I hope you have a nice week :)
ps I'm cooking that apple cake tomoow - did you like yours?

Peas, peas everywhere! I love pea soup and yours looks delish. I have a confession to make - I have never eaten peas from the pod. It just looks like a lot of work when they're so easily available frozen. What do you think? Do they taste better?

I'm sorry to hear about your jar. It always breaks my heart when something beautiful smashes but as CNN reminds me - it's only stuff.

Beautiful as always, Catherine.

hello!
sedonia is at 41 gamon street in seddon (small part of yarraville), which is probably about a $20 cab ride from cbd (southern cross station end). it's about 7kms (15 minutes drive) from southern cross station. have a look on google maps, but you would need a good hour to allow for travel there & back & some shopping time :)
there is a train station at seddon, which is only a few stops out of the city on the williamstown line & the station is only 500m from the shop on gamon street.
how exciting! hope all that helps. x captn
