It’s starting to get to that pointy end of the year, less than half the advent calendar to go, one more week of work, and I'm looking forward to the break. It is definitely true that having children makes christmas feel a little more magical. Our tree has been up since the first weekend in December (I'm hoping it makes it, there are a lot of needles on the floor every day) and last weekend all my cousins and their families and our grandmother came over for a lovely lunch catch up, but we have been lucky and so far it has been relatively laid back.

This weekend we will take Elroy to see Father Christmas, he has been pretty consistent in asking for a fire truck and new wooden train track (hmm might have to find a little fire truck!), and we will make some biscuits together as a family. We might also watch a few more episodes of the Crown on netflix, take Jerry for a walk or two and make our christmas crackers.

Hi, I also have a young son who loves all tipes of cars! Look for a fire truck by Viking toys - their toys are made of good quality plastic with rubber tires - not really designer toys, but durable and quiet!
