Life's been a bit frantic/hectic these past few weeks, I get the keys to my new flat tomorrow and have spent the past week sanding and painting old furniture, buying all kinds of new bits and pieces and packing up all my stuff. It been quite tiring but really I am so looking forward to this!
Hopefully within the next week I will be all settled in, with plenty more time to relax and be a far better blogger than I have been lately and catch up on all your posts.
In the meantime I hope you have a great week!
oh the picture is of my bentwood chair I found quite a while ago, I am still a bit stumped about what colour to panit it so any suggestions are most welcome.

...so I can wear these sandals and maybe this t shirt.
I think it's terribly unfair for stores to bring out spring clothes in the middle of July! It's waaaay too cold still for open toed shoes, but I am tempted nonetheless.

I'm sure these Bally posters have been blogged about before and they've appeared in various magazines, but after watching this show tonight and seeing an original up for sale I have to say I was reminded just how great they are. I think the top one is my favourite

My head has been in a bit of a spin these past few days (and I don't think it's purely caused by watching series one and two of the Mighty Boosh back to back! - it's brilliant by the way but completely crazy)
No the thing that's had me in a spin was finding a flat to move into that I completely loved, and was so perfect for me ( I am living with my mum and step-dad at the moment and boy it's hard being my age doing that - not that I don't love them to pieces). So it was a very restless weekend for me, hoping like mad I would get it and thinking about how I'd decorate and then at the same time convincing myself I didn't have a chance. I did get it though and I am very excited, some big changes over the next few weeks (and a bit of shopping!)

It's been freezing cold here but today I discovered a great antidote, hot chocolate and cinnamon biscuits! The combination is brilliant I have to say and they are easy and quick to make and smell amazing.
All you need is
75g butter softened
75g caster sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
175g plain flour
1 egg beaten
Cream butter and sugar add sifted flour and cinnamon and beaten egg.
Roll on floured surface and cook on a greased tray at 180 celcius until lightly browned/crisp.

I love this kitchen, every element is sooooo me (well what I wished my house was like), the white painted floor, pale blue table and cabinets! I would have to have these blue dishes to go match, can you imagine a green rocket salad sitting in that blue, swoon!
(I apologise, I'm afraid I can't remember where the kitchen is from but the dishes are from here)

The first day of a new month and the world looked a little like this.....hmmm it's definitely winter.
I realised I've been really bad with creating or making anything much lately, so hopefully July will be different.
You may remember my highly ambitious plans to crochet a granny square blanket this year, well that fell by the wayside somewhere around March....I was just bad at it. Now I've moved on to yet another highly ambitious project - a quilt. Actually this may be more achievable, but I've found the hardest part has been collecting fabrics that match the (oh so brilliant) design in my mind!
