I am so tired tonight, you have no idea. My eyes are struggling to stay open.
I've been making plans tonight for holidays next year, my 30th year (ahhh!), and it's both exciting and a little daunting. It's nice to have something to look forward to.

Some of my flickr favourites right now, I love the combination of green and grey together. Oh and I am sooo pleased it is friday, I plan to cook from my new book, take some pictures, visit the market, watch some dvds and keep working on my knitting.

Flickr Favourites

Sorry for being so sporadic around here at the moment, I really did intend to post last night but it was cold and I watched masterchef and then Juno was on tv after that (haven't see that since it was on at the cinema, I'd forgotten how good it is). Pathetic excuse I know.

Anyway I've been thinking a lot about my photo's and how I feel a bit stuck and boring, so I've been spending some time on flickr for inspiration, the above are some of my current favourites. What do you do when you need inspiration?

Green

I love the fact that elsewhere in the world right now it’s warm and sunny and bursting with green, even if it isn’t here. There are some very lovely images on flickr at the moment so I thought I’d share some of my favourites. I’m still feeling a bit under the weather right now which is no fun but on a brighter note I borrowed my dad’s old Nikon FA film slr and I can’t wait for the weekend to have a play with it, it’s terrifying but exciting.

Ugh I have a serious case of Monday blah happening today.

Bad points: it’s Monday (obviously!) and I had to leave my nice house to sit at my work desk for eight hours (not even one meeting today), it’s been grey outside, and I think I need a holiday.

Good points: I got to wear my new mittens this morning (absolutely beautiful), I had a raspberry jelly lamington for lunch, and the kitty faces above make me smile. I had my first blurb book printed up, it is brilliant. The software to make the books is quite addictive, rearranging and editing what should go where. Definitely an enjoyable time waster!

Oh and very exciting one of my pictures is featured on the gorgeous Creature Comforts. mmm maybe monday isn't so blah after all!

Bonne Maman

Lots of beautiful photographs with the super cute bonne maman jars. Does everyone around the world all buy the same jam? But then it is the best tasting shop jam I've had.

Today

Today:
The view walking to work this morning, the sun was out and so was the cherry blossom.
Some colourful graffiti, (I guess that's what you'd call it), lots of bright paint chips stuck to a wall.
Afterwork snack, there's something about freckles that remind me of childhood birthday parties.
Cauliflower for dinner, my favourite winter vegtable.

I've been meaning to show off my first mini moo cards, I am so impressed with the way they turned out. I think next time I might try out the postcards.

I picked up these beauties from a little roadside flower stall on the drive back from the mountains. They are without a doubt one of my favourite flowers, and with the weather being so dull and grey lately a lovely bright pick me up.

Hi there,
well I am only a day late with my white space wednesday photograph! I love this challenge, this was my first attempt and I'm looking forward to being a little more creative with it as the weeks go by.

Tonight it's organise-myself-before-the-weekend-hits-night. So I can sit back and enjoy my time off, I am cleaning, crafting and listening to a rocking new live muse cd. I feel a little cheated, after seeing muse a few years ago at the big day out they certainly have taken it to a whole new level. A little rock and roll is always a good thing to get those jobs done a little faster!

Tuesdays Thoughts

Hi there,

I am feeling a little frustrated right now. You know sometimes when you are waiting for things to happen and they seem to just move at snail pace. I'm in a funny little lull right now, waiting to finish my current job and hopefully getting some time off before my new job. Feeling excited about the changes that are going to happen but also a little anxious at the same time. I'm finding it hard to just be still and let my mind rest and relax.
I have been spending a little time on flickr of late, just letting it take me where it will. I love that one photo often leads to another, it's like a little maze.

Rest Easy

Hi there,
Happy middle of the week! Tonight I am a little tired and sleepy, the past few months have been really busy we have had numerous birthdays and engagement partys and just generally things on, and and I think it's finally caught up with me. I have so many things I would love to be working on and creating right now, I feel really inspired and yet while my head is enthused my body is telling me to maybe relax and read my new book and just take it easy.
So instead here are a few of my favourite things right now including my current Flickr favourites, I am only recently new to Flickr and I think it is great I could spend so much time on there and I love the way one photo leads to another, rather like blogs! Love it!

And I was excited to see this tea towel on Design*Sponge by Good Shape Design, I have the poster of this print in the orange colour and love it so much. (Yes I just need a frame for it! So sack!)
