Lately..
I had last week off for a rather needed holiday and got away to country Victoria and Melbourne for a few days. It was really lovely, despite the fact that it rained in the city the whole time! We had some fantastic food: went back to Pizza Verde in Kyneton, dinners at Hu Tong and Movida Aqui, breakfast at the European, lunch at Earl Canteen and cupcakes from Little Cupcakes....mmm now I am hungry just thinking about it! I also did some shopping to stock up on basics, which was a bit dull, but necessary. Oh and I also got bitten by the Instagram bug, I’ve been hesitant about it for a while, but it is so easy while being on holiday to use the iphone rather than lug the slr about. So above are some of my shots...I'm littleglowinglights.

Crafty
I haven’t done much craft at all over the past year really, I’m not sure why but sadly I kinda lost my mojo. Then I decided I wanted to make something big and bright for my friend’s birthday, and inspired by these balloons in the US, finally got my craft on last week. I enjoyed it so much, I had forgotten that satisfactory feeling of making something. I found the tutorial on how to make tissue paper tassels here, so simple really but quite effective.
Now I’m thinking I might have a go at making one of these, crossed with this, for my own birthday in a few weeks....maybe anyway!

Snowy Easter Break
I spent the easter break at a friends place up in the Tasmanian highlands, so nice to get away and just take it very easy, the most exciting part though was waking up to snow yesterday morning!
PS it was my friend's 30th birthday so I got a massive balloon and decked it out with tissue paper tassels, I made a cake too - it will be up on Island Menu this week.

April
I like April, it's my birthday month and this year I think it's going to be a good month! I'm trying to kick start it in a good way, lots of photographs over the weekend, some good fun cooking, orange tulips, and hopefully a good blogging month too.
