I am very happy to say that my little flat was featured on Apartment Therapy today. Go check it out here if you’d like to see. I’m feeling very excited about it all!
Afternoon sunlight is beautiful this time of year, I am making the most of it before it leaves us and photography at 7pm is a distant memory. Sorry for the lack of words here at the moment, I am feeling a bit skew wiff, all is not as it should be in my world right now.
I've been tagged by the great blog Red Door Read to show a picture of my desk. So is my desk.. rather difficult to photograph sitting in the bay window. For so long I didn't have a desk due to lack of space and now I do it is one of my favourite spots. I made the bunting using some ribbon and paper from Snow and Graham, the lamp was a christmas present, the calendar and note pad are from here and the little card is from essimar.
...to watch every Audrey Hepburn film ever made, sew a cute softie toy, discover London with the Howling Bells, change the world with a photo, spend a day with your mum, travel all around Europe, wear some nice new clothes, chat with Ben Kweller, fix up your push bike....
so says the cover of the new Frankie and I completely agree, it sounds very loverly!
I did a little re-arranging on the weekend. I found the little white shelf from the tip shop late last year for the bargain price of $3.50. All it needed was a wash and a coat of paint (it still needs some hole filler for where the screws went, but well nevermind..). It used to be in the hall but with limited kitchen cupboard space it seems to be better here on the bench. So I’ve been able to put out some of my collection of cut glass jugs as well as my blue nigella bits and pieces which is great.
I hope everyone had a lovely Valentines. I was given some gorgeous heart shaped chocolates wrapped in gold paper from my Dad, which made my day, it definitely is the little things that mean the most.
Another little thing that has been quite wonderful has been the opportunity to make apricot jam with the fruit from my mum's tree. It was laden with fruit and they've been so fresh and sweet. My favourite fruit and such a strong reminder of summer's past.
Pretty macarons Blue skies and sunshine – preferably enjoying them from under a big leafy green tree Sewing – I have some new ideas for my store Curling up in my green blanket drinking peppermint tea
(The reality is grey skies, lots of work, and very sad stories from the bushfires, cupcakes were required)
A pretty summer rose to share this week before Valentine's Day and lots of lovely valentine's craft from Martha, so sweet! I wish we could buy it here.
Happy friday! I can't tell you how pleased I am, we have another long weekend coming up and I am very ready for it. We'll be staying at home taking it easy, but maybe there will be a day trip to the beach. Definitely there will be some tunes (the new Ben Kweller) and possibly some craftiness.
The warm summer days here are making me avoid the computer, there seems to be so many other things to do, walks after dinner, semi-frozen yoghurt to eat, and quilts to piece (coming along very nicely, I will take some pictures this weekend). In the meantime I think I will share a few of my current etsy faves. Today the new print from Ashleyg. What could be more lovely than big coloured raindrops.
